The Prologue of the Gospel of John

John 1:1-18 
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He was in the beginning with God. 3. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.6. There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. 9. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13. who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’” 16. For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. 18. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.

The beginning of the Gospel of John, called Prologue, parallel the process of evolution mentioned in the Indian spiritual tradition:

1 - In the beginning was AUM, the primordial sound, corresponding to the Logos in the prologue.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word.
In the Beginning was Aum. Aum is the one Word Supreme. - (1753 and 267)
2 - AUM is associated with God.
John 1:1 - and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The AUM as Word is the Supreme Brahman (God of creation) - Amrita Bindu Upanishad 16
The Lord is the Cosmic sound "Aum" - (1751)
3 - From AUM, emanates Siva.
John 1:3 - All things came into being through the Word, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
Siva is the Source of Creation, he creates universe all - (386)
Lord Siva is AUM - (2844)
4 - From Siva emanates Sakti, corresponding to the Life in the prologue.
In the Indian tradition, Sakti is the dynamic power of Siva through which life is made possible.
John 1:4 - In Him was life.
When Siva acts on Sakti, He becomes AUM; and thus as AUM, he shines as the Light within. - (2844) "AUM" Mantra Sustains Life - (959)
5 - From Sakti emanates the Bindu corresponding to the Light in the prologue.
John 1:4 - and the life was the Light of men.
The Lord is the Light; In my fleshly body as Prana (the vital life) pulsates - (1797)

6 - The light and the darkness
In Indian thoughts, the Guru is the guide/teacher. The first syllable “Gu” is the darkness and the second syllable “Ru” is said to be the remover of the darkness (the light). The Guru is the Supreme Knowledge that dispels the darkness of ignorance. The syllable “Gu” represents the principles such as maya (illusion) and the syllable “Ru” represents the supreme knowledge that destroys the illusions of maya.
John 1:5 - The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 8:12 - Jesus said: “I am the Light of the world".
The Lord dispels darkness; And within radiates the pure rays of His dazzling light - (435)
Luminous is that Light; It is Light that devours Soul's darkness - (2688)
7 - The light, in the Indian tradition, is associated with knowledge. The darkness is associated with ignorance.
John 1:9 - The Word was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

8 - The Bindu (Light) abides in the body.

9 - In the Indian tradition, the Grace is associated with Sakti. .
John 1:17 - For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The prologue of the Gospel of John corresponds to the process of creation, also called evolution, of the Indian tradition. Evolution begins with the manifestation of higher and subtler planes and then proceed to manifest the lower and grosser planes. Man has the powers concealed in him, which he can awaken to begin the inverted process: the journey of involution. The miracles, life of Jesus and eventually his death and resurrection correspond to the inverted process: the process of involution. Involution is the inner journey of the spiritual pilgrim back to its origin through higher planes of consciousness.

In the Indian tradition the process of involution at the microcosmic level takes place in our own body: the ultimate spiritual experience (liberation while living) is achieved when the bodily Bindu (Light, Prana, breath) merges with the cosmic bindu (Lord's body). This is symbolized in the Gospel by Jesus (the Light coming from heaven - John 1:9), living among us (becoming Flesh - John 1:14), and returning to the Father in heaven (Now I am leaving the world and going to the Father. - John 16:28). In the symbolism of the Gospel of John, the land of Palestine represents the body and Jesus represents the liberating principle within this body (associated with the Kundalini of the Indian tradition), performing the signs/miracles (opening up the chakras) until his death and resurection at the "place of the skull" (liberation attained at the top of the cranium).

Verse 885 of the Tirumantiram sums up the process of creation:
Verse 885: Letters A, U and M of AUM
By One Letter, A, He all worlds became;

By Two Letters (A and U), He the Two became--Siva and Sakti;
By Three Letters (A, U and M), He the Light became;
By Letter M was Maya (illusion) ushered in.

AUM as the first and last Word of the Gospel?

In the Indian spiritual tradition the syllable AUM should always be uttered at the beginning and at the end of any Vedic text or ritual pronouncements.

AUM as the first word of the Gospel:
John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word.
In the Beginning was Aum. Aum is the one Word Supreme. - Tirumantiram 1753 and 267

AUM as the last word of the Gospel:
AUM, the primordial sound is sometimes referred in the Indian texts, as the “Unwritten Book”. The last sentence of the Gospel mentions the unwritten books that could have been written. The last word of the Gospel (Biblia) means book.
John 21:25 - And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.
